Abstract

Syntheses and optical properties of cyclic arylethynylsilanes containing one or two trialkyne pockets were described. Optical properties such as UV-vis spectra, photoluminescence and quantum yield based on these conjugated structural features were compared with each other. The photoactivated insecticidal activities against the 4th-instar larvae of Aedes albopictus (Skuse) were evaluated. © 2011 SIOC, CAS, Shanghai, & WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim.
