Abstract

Real Work Lecture is an intracurricular activity that combines the implementation of the Tri Dharma carried out by students with the guidance of lecturers and the community. The implementation of the Real Work Lecture in Teluk Pambang Village starts from a situation analysis where the community does not know about the potential of the mangrove ecosystem in the Teluk Pambang Village area. The mangrove ecosystem in Teluk Pambang Village is used to fulfill life by cutting down existing trees, resulting in shrinkage of the existing mangrove ecosystem area. The purpose of this service activity is to provide education to the surrounding community about the importance of managing mangrove ecosystems to maintain environmental balance in coastal areas as well as education about the prospects for economically valuable mangrove ecotourism in Teluk Pambang Village, Bantan District, Bengkalis Regency. The method of implementing this service activity is the discussion method, the audition method, the lecture method, the simulation and practice methods, and the work method. The results obtained from this service activity are the awareness of the community to manage and utilize the existing mangrove ecosystem by developing it as a creative economy-based mangrove ecotourism
