Abstract

This paper discusses a solution of the laminar boundary-layer equations recently published by Professor S. Goldstein. Conditions near an assumed singularity at a point of separation are investigated numerically, tables are given for general use, and a comparison is made with numerical information from other sources. In addition, an improved form of the 'outer' solution of Kármán and Millikan is described. © 1948 Oxford University Press.
