Abstract

The author substantiates the urgency of building clusters in the context of development of the Russian national innovation system, as well as the need to reduce the excess energy intensity of industry. Taking these factors into account, the author proposes the formation of a new type of cluster structures: innovative energy efficient clusters. The author’s definition of this term is given in the introductory part of the study. The analysis and review of selected studies on the topic of cluster development of the economy and energy efficiency of industrial enterprises is carried out.
