Abstract

Initial ideas related to automated driving date back to the 1950’s. Recent developments and manufacturer’s forecasts promise the application of fully automated driving in the near future. What are expectations of logistics stakeholders and how will automated driving change transport logistics? This paper reports initial findings from probing a test region for automated and connected driving related to transport logistics. Thereby, application scenarios are detailed in a stakeholder-oriented manner. Furthermore, the empirical findings are examined in terms of technology acceptance factors observed.
