Abstract

Nitrogen gas (200 10,000 cm**3/s) was injected into a water bath through an orifice 0. 1 0. 3 cm in diameter. The jet behavior was observed using a high speed cinecamera. The experiments were done in the gas flow region of both subsonic and sonic velocity to investigate the structure of the jets.
