Post-faustmann forest resource economics

Abstract

This chapter provides an overview of the contents of the volume. To put those contents in perspective, it first reviews recent developments in forest economics and discusses the main problematic features of Faustmann forest resource economics, and the resulting need for a reformed paradigm of forest economics-Post-Faustmann Forest Resource Economics. After these introductory remarks, each chapter included in the five sections of this volume is briefly reviewed.
