Abstract

In this chapter, we have provided a few paradigms that are commonly used for preneurosurgical mapping of the language and motor functions. The activation tasks used in one of the most widely used language paradigms in the functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) community, the sentence completion, are shown in several languages (English, Russian, Spanish, and Vietnamese). In addition, other commonly used language paradigms, including rhyming and word generations, are also provided in this chapter.
