Abstract

In cognitive radio networks multiple secondary users share a single channel and multiple channels are simultaneously used by a single secondary user (SU) in order to satisfy their rate requirement. In such environment, we attempt to evaluate the relations between different dimensions of the multiple QoS. By means of the mathematical modelling framework for studying the versions QoS constraints in the CR network introduced here, we have determined the throughput, the delay, and the bandwidth in a uniform formula. As an example application, the loss rate of the secondary users in the CR network as a function of various parameters, etc. are presented for a realistic network setup. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2011.
