Abstract

This case study is based on secondary data gathered concerning the state of the timeshare industry in Aruba. The major fi ndings of this study indicate that there is a strong and growing consumer interest in timeshare ownership as a viable recreational alternative. This interest suggests that considerable empirical research is needed to understand the factors associated with sustaining the fi nancial and economic impacts of the timeshare industry upon Aruba ’ s economy.
