Abstract

An extensive investigation of the physico-chemical parameters of water samples of Ganga river, surface water, treated water and ground water at Kanpur during pre-monsoon, monsoon, and post-monsoon seasons of India is presented. Correlation coefficients were calculated between different pairs of parameters to identify the highly correlated and interrelated water quality parameters and t-test was carried out for checking significance. Principal Components Analysis (PCA) was done to ascertain the parameters responsible for variability in water quality variance. Multiple linear regression analysis is also discussed
