Abstract

New efficient numerical methods for hyperbolic and parabolic partial differential equations with delay terms are investigated. These equations model a development of cancer cells in human bodies. Our goal is to study numerical methods which can be applied in a parallel computing environment. We apply our new numerical method to the delay partial differential equations and analyse the error of the method. Numerical experiments confirm our theoretical results. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2004.
