Abstract

An understanding of the basic pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic characteristics of medications is paramount in the management of the critically ill neuroscience patient. Furthermore, the influence or alterations a neurologic disease process or injury may exert on these basic and specific drug principles must be considered when designing pharmacotherapy regimens and monitoring plans
