Abstract

Many environmental parameters can impact the ambient air quality. Some ones are usually lack of data. Grey system method can be applied for such uncertainty analysis. This paper utilized a width gray cluster analysis model for assessing the impact of key environmental parameters on ambient air quality. Several sites in Shanghai are studied on base of the new model. The results show that PM10 may be the main component with significant impact on ambient air quality in the road with fewer crowds in Shanghai. Case study also demonstrates that the grey cluster analysis model can be applied well for assessing the impact of key environmental parameters on ambient air quality. © 2011 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
