Abstract

The authors discuss the links between thinking, learning and assessment in Mathematics in which they use the phrase "Active Assessment approach" to describe connection in Great Britain. They provide a couple of examples to help clarify the background of the approach in teaching such as using card sorts and using concept cartoons. They stress that these kind of activities will help students to develop their ideas through collaborative interaction.
