Abstract

This paper seeks to describe and comprehend the motivations of teacher-researchers in two public state universities in Mexico to participate in knowledge and technology transfer processes. Ten subjects interested in knowledge transfer processes were considered for this study; in-depth interviews were conducted to understand their readiness to produce and transfer knowledge. The results reveal that subjects develop a disposition and the skills to seek changes in social reality based on values such as altruism.
