Abstract

New data on the occurrence of beetles of the family Bostrichidae on Socotra Island are presented – altogether nine species have been recorded hitherto. Besides faunistic data, the paper contains descriptions of two new subspecies: Enneadesmus obtusidentatus obscurior Borowski subsp. nov. and Enneadesmus forficula socotrensis Borowski subsp. nov. Both subspecies differ from nomino-typical forms in smaller size and distinctly shorter and less prominent tubercles and denticles on elytral truncation.
