The UK-based Caps Cases Limited operates two sheet plants - one in Glasgow, Scotland and in Newmarket, England. The Glasgow plant evolved from being a dedicated supplier of divisions and pads to a fully-equipped sheet plant by installing die-cutting, gluing and stitching facilities. Within the Scottish market Caps Cases has remained a trade supplier. Growth in turnover and investment in plant has been customer-led over the past four years. New investment in the group is concentrating more on developing new niche markets. This is illustrated by the purchase of a Vega six point gluer for Newmarket in 1999 and the installation of Roda solid board division manufacturing equipment in Scotland.
