Abstract

It is already widely known that the world is facing a serious and difficult struggle against climate change and environmental degradation. As a result of continuous efforts of scientists and researchers to find a solution to these problems, two fields developed in the last couple of years: circular economy and green human resource management. Although these two concepts received substantial amount of attention lately, it is clear that circular economy and green human resource management evolved in opposite directions. Referring to the gap existing in literature, the aim of this chapter is to explore the human aspect of circular economy, specifically green human resource management. With the intention of contributing to better understand the human aspect of circular economy, this chapter aims to establish the relationship between circular economy, green human resource management and sustainability.
