This chapter examines the changes in social work education over the past forty years in Spain and how these are linked to experience a big transformation in accordance with the different political, demographic and cultural transformations that have taken place. To provide an overview of the current state of social work education in this complex context a method based on data analysis and literature review from a diachronic, holistic perspective has been utilized. Ethical requirements have also been taken on account.
