Abstract

Based on the CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) theory, the oxygen-coal lance is simplified as a single lance with the gas passed only, and the nozzle of it has three types, which are called straight-pipe type, spiral-flow type and multi-hole type. The interaction of the two strands of airflow coming from the oxygen-coal lance and the blow-pipe respectively is investigated by using CFD software. Through the numerical simulation of the distributions of the flow-field and the velocity-field inside the raceway in blast furnace, the mixed situation of the pulverized coal injection and the gas in the blast furnace can be revealed in practical production process, which can also promote the theoretical support for the optimized pulverized coal injection.
