Starting with a review of out-of-the-body experiences, the author proposes a dualistic, interactionist theory of consciousness that is empirically based. mind reads brainactivity by clairvoyance and influences unstable neurons by psychokinesis. both mind and brain are complex systems with their own emergent properties, and together constitute a suprasystem with its own emergent properties. validated parapsychological abilities constitute the empirical base of the theory and allow testable consequences.
