Abstract

Laparoscopic adrenalectomy (or the closely related retroperitoneoscopic approach to the adrenal glands) provides an attract alternative to the open operation in carefully selected patients. This chapter details the indications, contraindications, pitfalls and danger points, preoperative preparation, and operative strategy and technique, postoperative care, and complications for these operations.
