The energy consumption of resources in a household has been a periodical issue in the recent study. Most of the energy used in homes is invisible to the users which lead to increase in energy consumption. Energy consumption of the appliances has been estimated by using various machine learning techniques. As per the literature survey, several machine learning techniques have been utilized for optimizing energy consumption. Therefore, in this paper, we present a review related to various machine learning techniques for energy efficiency and tabulated their various parameters and approaches used.
