Abstract

The present investigation has been undertaken in order to study the Emotional\rIntelligence of student teacher in Tamil Nadu state. By using the random sampling technique 622\rstudent teachers were selected from various education coll\reges in Tamil Nadu state. Normative\rsurvey method was used. This study is intended to find out the levels of Emotional intelligence of\rstudent teachers and if there is any significant difference between the selected pairs of sub\r-\rsamples. Emotional Intellig\rence scale constructed and validated by Hyde, Dhar, & Pethe, (2001)\rwas used to collect the data. This study reveals that the majority of student teachers Emotionally\rIntelligence were high. There exists significant difference between sub samples related\rto email\rholders, and the type of college they studied.
