Abstract

Virtual communities are currently one of the fastest growing applications on the web. In this research, we argue that personalised support should be tailored to the needs of the community as a whole, as opposed to adapting only to individuals, Based on 4 processes identified as important, we propose a computational framework that includes the extraction of a comprehensive community model and the deployment of that model to provide support adapted to the effective functioning of a community. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2007.
