Abstract

The article offers suggestions and strategies from the International Health, Raquet and Sportsclub Association (IHRSA)for fitness club owners to retain loyal club members and acquire new ones in the recreation industry in Canada. It enumerates several tips to recruit members while maintaining existing club membership. These retention approaches include the provision of satisfying customer service, handling members' cards to uphold interpersonal relations and participation in community programs.
