Abstract

The article focuses on a study to assess the effectiveness of a girls' empowerment intervention regarding changing knowledge, attitudes, and practices of in-school girls' related to sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in Swaziland. Topics discussed include links between SGBV and HIV infection; data collection involving self-administered interviews with in-school girls; and positive changes in the attitudes of girls regarding SGBV.
