Abstract

A diverse group of researchers working on both plant and animal systems met at a Company of Biologists workshop to discuss 'Coordinating Cell Polarity'. The meeting included considerable free discussion as well as presentations exploring the ways that groups of cells in these various systems achieve coordinated cell polarity. Here, we discuss commonalities, differences and themes that emerged from these sessions that will serve to inform ongoing studies. © 2014. Published by The Company of Biologists Ltd.
