Abstract

This chapter describes an experiment conducted by Australia's Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO) on the ThruVision T4000 Passive Terahertz (THz) camera. The purpose of this study was to assess a number of the human factors issues surrounding the use of this device in an airport scenario. It presents the theoretical background, methodology (including psychological pre-tests) as well as aspects of the results from a controlled psychological experiment. © 2011 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
