Abstract

According to the US Census Bureau (2010), Asian Indian Americans constitute the third largest Asian group in the USA with a population of 3.2 million. In this chapter, we will use the term Asian Indian American to refer to those who are of family descent originating from the Indian subcontinent, currently living in the USA and have either been born or have become naturalized citizens of this country.
