Abstract

This monographic issue, focused on service-learning (SL) in the field of physical activities and sports (PAS), focuses on the inequalities that still exist in the access of many groups affected to the practice of physical activity and sports. The objective of this initial text is to publicize the creation of the "Research Network in Service-Learning in Physical Activity and Sports for Social Inclusion" (Spanish acronym: RIADIS), under the protection of the Higher Sports Council. At the time of its birth, RIADIS has researchers from ten Spanish universities that integrate capacities and resources directed towards teaching and research excellence in order to dialogue, find answers, build knowledge and join in the search or creation of solutions regarding PAS as a tool for social inclusion, in order to achieve a more just society.
