Abstract

This article is about pragmatic potential of literary discourse in terms of comparative analysis of excerpts taken from Italian literarure and their Georgian translation. pragmatic potential lies in pragmatic effect on the target reader. We identified types of emotional subtexts, adjectives denoting colours, kinetic movements, as well as emotional gestures, which play an important role in literary discourse. We also analyzed phonatory paralinguisms, which are related to the characteristics of human speech sounds. © 2014 Academy Publisher Manufactured In Finland.
