Double-Take: Getting to the RFID PIA Framework

Abstract

The Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tag is based on a principle defined and developed more than 70 years ago. A chip is attached to an object and offers the possibility through an electromagnetic signal to identify and discriminate electronically this object from others. Even if this basic principle is not new, it has recently triggered growing activities and concerns as some new technological trends are now facilitating its massive adoption.
