Abstract

In this paper, the field programmable gate arrays (FPGA) technique is used to control the flyback converter. The proposed control loop design, together with the one-comparator counter-based FWM control strategy without any analog-to digital converter (ADC) used is presented and applied to controlling the flyback converter under the discontinuous current mode (DCM). The detailed illustration of the proposed control scheme is provided, together with some experimental results to verify its effectiveness. © 2007 IEEE.
