Abstract

The vegetation types of tundra and grassland and the environmental conditions in which they are found are described. Factors affecting the productivity of grazing lands such as photosynthetic rate, photosynthetic patterns, irradiance, temp., water, nutrients, herbivores and grazing are discussed. Increased research into the physiology of grassland spp. was considered necessary
