Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows: To assess the effectiveness of baclofen, valproic acid and various experimental compounds in development (such as, but not limited to, AZD3355, AZD9343, XP19986) in comparison to each other as well as PPI therapy and placebo in the treatment of GERD.  To compare the incidence of adverse effects associated with these therapies.
