Abstract

People with physical disabilities have limited capabilities in moving,performing manual tasks and taking participation in some lifeactivities. Muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, spinal cordinjuries, head injuries, amputations, arthritis, etc., are some causesof physical disabilities. Since that physical impairments cansignificantly make tedious, even in some cases quite disable using ofinformation technology, it is required to make adaptations that will beenabling the full communication with computers by persons with this kindof disabilities. In this article, some issues about communicationbetween computers and persons with physical impairments are discussed,and are presented a review of available assistive computer technologythat make this communication possible. As information education isfundamental education in modern society, the special accent is given tothe communication problematic between physically handicapped persons andcomputers.
