Employing recent research results covering Internet of Things sensing networks, digitized mass production, and sustainable organizational performance in cyber-physical system-based smart factories, and building our argument by drawing on data collected from McKinsey and Ovum, we performed analyses and made estimates regarding data-driven process automation. Descriptive statistics of compiled data from the completed surveys were calculated when appropriate.
