Abstract

From the 'ESN coffee data set' the data from the two attributes that were used in all countries, bitter and burnt, were selected for analysis. The consistency of use of these attributes, over all countries, was studied using (Q-mode) Principal Component Analysis. In addition, the result from this analysis was used to study the agreement between the replicate coffees. The conclusion was that there were some demant assessors in France, and that there might exist systematic differences between the replicates. © 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
