Abstract

Electronic portfolio assessment is a collection of electronic evidence compiled and managed by users. This research aims to produce a valid and reliable electronic portfolio assessment instrument to be used as an effective assessment alternative in improving students' creative thinking in chemical reaction equations. This research was conducted because no research has been identified related to the development of electronic portfolio assessments to test part of students' creative thinking skills in chemistry materials, especially chemical reaction equation materials. The research method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) with a three-stage model (Define, Design, and Development). The participants in this study were X IPA class students in one of the Bandung City high schools involved in the limited trial stage as well as three chemistry education lecturers and two chemistry teachers as validators. Portfolio assessment instruments developed in the form of tasks and assessment rubrics are arranged based on indicators of creative thinking skills with portfolio assessment data collection techniques. The developed task consists of making interactive power points; making podcasts; and making digital journals. The results showed that the instrument developed was valid with a CVR value of 1.00 and reliable with a Cronbach Alpha value of 0.726 - 0.911. Based on the N-Gain value on the limited trial results of the electronic portfolio assessment instrument developed, it can improve students' creative thinking skills on chemical reaction equations material with a moderate category (0.56).
