Abstract

This research considers workload balance in the Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem (CVRP), which can be called the CVRP with Load Balancing (CVRPLB). In addition to find a fleet of distribution vehicles with minimum cost, the workload balance among vehicles are considered. To solve the CVRPLB, a Multi-Objective Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm is applied and implemented. The performance of the algorithm is tested on the Christofides et al. [1] test instances.
