Abstract

Despite the positive rhetoric that grew out of the abolition of apartheid in 1994, promising a rainbow nation ahead, the inherited discourses, spaces, and categories are deeply rooted in society and will take a long time to heal (Barbarin & Richter, 2001; Bray, Gooskens, Kahn, Moses, & Seekings, 2010).
