Abstract

The digital content management system, called DCMS, is similar to early information system ideas. For evaluating success of the DCMS, some success factors except success factors by Delone and Mclean are considerable because it is a system for digital content management and with web-based technologies. Based on the information system success model by Delone and Mclean, we added two success factors presented by research of Quaddus and Lau; user participation, user characteristics. Also three factors are taken directly from Delone and Mclean, but modified in appropriate ways for the DCMS. The main contribution to the literature from this study is to theoretically articulate conceptual model for evaluating the success of the DCMS. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.
