IEC 61499-compliant cooperative dynamically reconfigurable run-time environment

Abstract

The paper presents the work-in-progress on a Group Support System for cooperative implementation of control algorithms according to IEC 61499 standard that also enables integration with experimental pilot-plants. The state-of-the-art of the presented problems is presented and the already completed parts of the framework. The described work-in-progress concentrates on industrial connectibility, downtimeless dynamic reconfiguration and conflict resolution. The described project is promising due to the increasing role of the IEC 61499 standard in the industrial practice and because of the lack of similar educational solutions. © 2013 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
