Abstract

The final chapter deals with the time after graduation from a private Germany university. Getting started with a professional career is a prime concern at that stage. Strategies for applications and interviews are provided together with first-hand information from job-placement experts. To ensure the selection of a suitable company, this chapter suggests helpful criteria. An overview of the required soft and hard skills in a leadership position is provided with recommendations on how to maintain an up-to-date skillset as an executive. The chapter portrays how private universities in Germany ensure maximum job-placement of their students while facilitating integration into an international professional network. Case examples of large corporations are provided, showcasing the recruitment and continuous upskilling of their workforce. The chapter closes by highlighting essentials to keep in mind for a prosperous professional and personal future.
