Abstract

The 'complexity of the' brain is reviewed in terms of structural, functional and dynamic modules. Specifically, the modular concept is supplemented by using statistical approach for the dynamic behavior of large population of neurons. The relationship between anatomical cortical connectivity and (over) synchronized spatiotemporal activity propagation was studied by using large-scale brain simulation technique.
