Benign conditions of the vagina and vulva are relatively common clinical presentations. However, they are not common indications for imaging as many of these abnormalities can be confidently diagnosed on the basis of clinical history, examination, and biopsy where necessary. These conditions may be observed as incidental findings on imaging performed for other reasons or when the vagina or vulva is involved in a more extensive disease process. This chapter will discuss and illustrate the imaging appearances of acquired conditions encompassing inflammatory processes and benign tumors.
