Abstract

The crystal structure of [BrHgL], L = 1,3-bis(2-methoxybenzene) triazene was determined by X-ray diffraction. The complex crystallizes in the triclinic system: space group P1 with a = 10.8481(5), b = 11.3836(6), c = 14.0304(11)Å, α = 100.904(1)°, β = 99.091(5)o, γ = 106.451(5)°, V = 1589.98(18)Å3, Z = 4. The structure was solved by full-matrix least- squares on F2, and had a refined R value of 0.0565 for 7123 reflections (I 2σ(I)). The Hg atom is coordinated by a Brion as well as two N atoms of the title ligand in a planar geometry. 2008 © The Japan Society for Analytical Chemistry.
