Abstract

The Kidang Mas Batik House in Lasem is one of the batik houses that preserves the traditional batik process from generation to generation. They produce batik with motifs and colors typical of the Peranakan Lasem. This production process occurs in a house inhabited from era to generation. Therefore, a building with distinctive architecture still in use today is interesting to study further. Therefore, this study aims to identify the influence of culture on the typology of Rumah Batik Kidang Mas. The research was conducted through several stages: data collection, analysis, formulation of findings, and publications. The results of this study are that most of the architecture and design buildings in the Lasem area have acculturation between Javanese and Chinese cultures. However, the characteristics of each culture are still seen harmoniously. The harmony also can be seen in the Kidang Mas Lasem Batik House's typology. The acculturation of Javanese and Chinese culture found in most buildings in the Lasem area, especially Babagan and Karangturi sub-districts, adds uniqueness to this area and can be used by the community and government to become a cultural tourism area.
